What are X - rays & their importance ?5 Ways technology is impacting current education system

In physics, electromagnetic radiation (EMR) refers to the waves of the electromagnetic field which carries electromagnetic radiant energy. It includes some waves like., radio waves, microwaves, infrared, visible light, ultraviolet, X-rays, and gamma rays. X-ray is one of them.

X-rays have much higher energy which can pass through most objects including the body and much shorter wavelengths than ultraviolet light. X-rays have very short wavelengths between 0.03 and 3 nanometers, so small than a single atom of many elements.

PROPERTIES OF X - RAYS :-

●These rays are electromagnetic in nature.

●X-rays travels In straight line.

●Speed of X-rays is equal to speed of light.

●X-rays shows photoelectric effect.

●X-rays are used in surgery, radio therapy, engineering department and searching.

◆The intensity and the penetrating power of X-rays can be controlled independently.

X- RAYS ARE USED FOR :-

●X-ray creates pictures of the inside of your body.

●Medical x-rays are used to generate images of tissues and structures inside the body.

●The most familiar use of check of x-rays is for broken bones, but x-rays are also used in other ways.

DISADVANTAGES OF X - RAYS :-

●While X-rays are slightly increased risk of cancer, it is an extremely low risk of short-term side effects.

●Exposure to high radiation levels of X- ray can cause various effects, such as vomiting, bleeding, fainting, hair loss, and the loss of skin and hair.
